September 2011 Negură Bunget - Transilvanian Legacy - 15 Years Anniversary World Tour As 2011 marks the 15th anniversary of Negură Bunget, it is time for us to expand our presence throughout some new places of the world. We are happy to announce Negură Bunget will celebrate this anniversary by embarking on a world tour scheduled for late 2011 and all throughout 2012. Symbolically titled Transilvanian Legacy this tour will hopefully carry the band and it message to all corners of the world. First part of the tour begins in September with several dates along Hate and Vesania. Second leg is composed of the Baltic and Scandinavian dates. In December, as part of the tour, Negură Bunget will perform a handful of selected dates in Romania and throughout Europe with an extended multiedia setlist, featuring never played before tracks as well as brand new tracks from the upcoming Transilvanian Trilogy, all on a full visual background. Another oversea part is in preparation for April/May 2012 in US and Canada, of which Maryland Deathfest is already confirmed. We still need to complete some dates, so you if you can help, please get in contact with us. Guitarist Fulmineos won't be able to attend most of this tour due to a personal situation, so we recruited former guitarist Spin to take his place. 1st July 2011 Negură Bunget - Transilvanian Trilogy - Musical and visual project Negură Bunget is ready to announce the next major step that will shape the evolution of the band in the following years. After the Vīrstele pămīntului album, which got some amazing response from audience and media, we fell it is our purpose to take everything to an even higher level. With this in mind, our next project is a musical and visual trilogy centered around the Transilvanian lands. It is both our personal and band destiny to undertake this exploration and presentation of the things that inspired us since the very beginning. Everybody can rest assure, we are not here to perpetuate the typical stereotypes, but rather unveil the unknown treasures the Transilvanian lands are so rich in. Be prepared to discover a whole new dimension of what these lands are all about. Each part of the trilogy will evolve into fully developed musical and visual sides which we are developing together with our friend and visual artist Daniel Dorobantu and our friend and modern composer Dan Popescu. The first part of the trilogy, entitled Tău (engl. your) will unveil the natural landscapes, by exploring 9 unique natural places, with their mystique, atmosphere, legends and meanings. The second part will explore the human components, the traditions and practices, the connection with the nature, the way this relation shaped the spiritual horizon of the local inhabitants. The last part will focus on the spiritual elements, the values that defined and made these lands immortal. These are the first completely new materials we are releasing with Lupus Lounge/Prophecy Productions. 29th July 2010 2010 for Negură Bunget 2010 was the most intense year in the history of the band. Two albums released, Măiestrit on Prophecy Production and Vīrstele pămīntului on Code666 Records, followed by a long European tour as headliners (Spirit of the Land Tour - 47 dates), another tour in autumn (Black Trolls Over Europe - 10 dates), some festivals in between (including Hellfest), some line-up changes (guitarists Corb and Spin were replaced by Urzit and Fulmineos), a MCD to symbolically end our 10 years cooperation with Code666 Records and a lot of work, all make this year special and unforgettable. Figures for 2010: 72 gigs played, 2 European Tours as headliners, more than 50.000 km of driving on our van, 66 answered interviews, more than 10.000 CD's sold. We thank everybody who helped us in any way, and we promise we are already focusing on making 2011 even more special! The firsts signs are here already - 2011 marks 15 years of Negură Bunget, so all our activities will celebrate this anniversary. We already have the release of the Live DVD - Focul Viu set for March, the April tour along Enslaved (which includes a special performance at Ragnarok Festival) and some summer festivals (of which Party San is already announced). 2011 will also develop one of our most ambitious project, The Transilvanian Trilogy. We hope to meet again as many of you as possible and meanwhile we wish meaningful experiences in the year ahead.. Stay Black! |
